My wife Lisa and I have lived in Stow for seven years and have five school-age children attending public school. I am a practicing attorney licensed in three states.

I’m a 1996 graduate of Girard City Schools. I graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Mount Union in 2000 and the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2003.

I spent my formative years in the band, learning to play multiple musical instruments. I helped edit and fund-raise for my school yearbook. I played varsity baseball. My college scholarships came largely because I was well-rounded, and not just because of my GPA or class rank. As a board member, I want Stow's kids to have an experience like I did, where they can participate in as many clubs, activities and sports as they can handle. Additionally, I want to make sure our students are being properly prepared for both college and careers upon graduation.

I look forward to assisting in the ongoing process of restoring transparency, credibility and professionalism to the management of our school system.

I have been a resident of Stow for 27 years.  Currently, my focus is to support teachers, parents, and students throughout the United States and to serve as a Professional Development Coordinator for Ohio.

My education includes a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Science Education and a Master’s in Education from Kent State University. I worked in the field of education for more than 30 years as a teacher, coach and university associate.

I am passionate about creating an environment in which students can thrive and grow into confident adults.

I look forward to working hard to ensure that every student in the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District continues to receive an excellent education that prepares them for the future.

My husband, Don, and I have lived in Stow since May of 1969, happily raising our three children here. I am proud to say that all three of them are graduates of our school system and are doing well in their professions. I am a former employee of the Stow-Munroe Falls district, serving in our district for 34 years with my last assignment as Central Kitchen food manager at the high school. Upon retirement I took a deeper interest as a taxpayer in our schools and decided to run for the school board.

I will continue to question and reasearch issues, voting for what seems best for the students, staff, and community. Integrity and responsibility are very important to me and I will continue to bring these qualities forward in my term as a BOE member.

Current Term Expires January 1, 2024

I have lived in Stow for 27 years and have two sons in college who are both K-12 graduates of Stow-Munroe Falls schools.  I was an active parent in the classroom and most especially as a "band mom," and as an officer with the Band Parents Association.

I am the owner and Alpha Dog of Double Day Care in Stow and we are celebrating our 9th year in business. Prior to that I ran my own PR consulting firm where my client list included "A Christmas Story" House & Museum, GroundWorks DanceTheater, and several Cleveland restaurants.  I grew up in Washington Court House, Ohio and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Otterbein College in 1985, and a Master's Degree in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in Pittsburgh in 1993.  I have been a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church since 1998 and am currently the Chair of the Endowment Committee.

I am grateful for the education and opportunities my sons had through academics, sports, band and the Six-District Compact,  especially now as I watch them grow into their adult roles and make a difference on their campus communities and beyond.  I am committed to making sure every student in Stow and Munroe Falls has access to the same opportunities my sons had so that they graduate with a sense of purpose, respect for others, and the desire to keep learning and making a difference in their communities.
