Ohio Graduation Test


Beginning with the Class of 2007, students will be required to pass the Ohio Graduation Test. This assessment will replace the 9th Grade Proficiency Test which is currently in use.

The Ohio Graduation Test will be administered to SMFHS sophomores during the week of March 7, 2005.

 


The Ohio Department of Education is continuing to update its Web site with new information and useful tools for teachers, principals and parents about the new Ohio Graduation Test. Included on the Web site are the State Board-adopted standards for English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies and OGT test samplers.

A student guide to the Ohio Graduation Tests is now available on the Ohio Department of Education website. The guide is designed to provide high school age students with specific information about the academic content standards within each area of the tests.

Sets of guides and half-length practice tests in all five tests will be shipped to school buildings in the fall of 2004 for distribution to ninth-grade students. A PDF version of the OGT guide can be found at:
