Fun Facts about Kimpton:

Kimpton was constructed in 1970 and has 41 classrooms, an auditorium, gymnasium, track, football field and baseball field.
There are 9 interscholastic and two instructional level sports for both boys and girls. Students have competed exceptionally in Word Power, Power of the Pen, Future Problem Solving and MathCounts.

In 2005, a Kimpton seventh-grader won the Regional Spelling Bee and competed in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Also in 2005, a Kimpton eighth-grader won the state Reader's Digest Word Power contest and competed in the Nationals in Orlando, Florida.

In 2007, a Kimpton eighth-grader won the state Reader's Digest Word Power competition and placed 4th at the nationals in Florida.
Kimpton built a greenhouse with the help of many community businesses and volunteers. Science classes now use the greenhouses in many experiments.
