[Paragraph 7]

The Board shall determine the standards of eligibility to be met by all students participating in the interscholastic program. Such standards shall require that each student be in good physical condition, be free of injury, and have fully recovered from illness before participating in any interscholastic athletic event. To be eligible for any interscholastic athletic program or extra-curricular activity, a student must meet the eligibility requirements established by the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education, effective with the 2006-07 school year.

1) The grade-point average of each grading period [quarter grades] will be used to determine eligibility. Summer school grades earned may not be used to recalculate a student’s grade-point average from the last grading period of the regular school year.

2) A student must maintain the following grade-point average and not receive more than one [1] failing grade in any course during the preceding grading period.

- Students in grades 7,8, and 9 must have a 1.5
- Students in grade 10 must have a 1.75
- Students in grades 11 and 12 must have a 2.0

3) Students not meeting the eligibility requirements may not participate until the criteria have been met for the next grading period.
