Dear
Parents: It’s hard to believe it’s almost 2009…please
relax and enjoy the winter break with your child(ren). Stay healthy.
See you on January 5th when school resumes.
Warmly,
Debra Milford, Principal
OUTSIDE
RECESS
All children will be permitted to play outdoors if the temperature and wind chill
are 10 degrees or above.
SNOW DAYS
During severe weather conditions, it is sometimes necessary to close the school
with short notice. The decision to close our schools is never made more than
three (3) hours in advance of the school starting time for pupils. Please check
TV/Radio Stations or the following websites:

www.actionnewsnow.com CLINIC NEWS
The Clinic is in need of long pants to give students that need
warmer or dry clothes. If anyone has any sweatpants (boys
or girls), gloves, socks or even gently used underwear that
can be donated, Mrs. Sieben will be grateful. When your child
comes home with clothes supplied by the clinic, please launder
and then return the items back to the clinic as soon as possible.
Mrs. Sieben has been seeing lots of “tired” and “sleepy” children.
Please make sure that your child(ren) get enough sleep to
reduce illness and to help them to do their best in the classroom.
EXCUSED ABSENCES
Here are a few symptoms that may help you to decide when a
child is too sick to send to school. If your child has:
•
a fever of more than 100 degrees
• a sore throat which is accompanied by fever or white spots on
the back of the throat
• a heavy cold or hacking cough
• a rash
• a stomachache accompanied by diarrhea or vomiting, or all of the
above.
If your child(ren) will not be at school, you can call the office
before 8:00AM at 689-5470 to leave a message or after 8:00AM
to speak with someone in the school office.
